The Honor Foundation Named a 2026 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® Grant Recipient

The Honor Foundation (THF) is proud to announce that we have been selected as a 2026 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® grant recipient, an honor that recognizes nonprofit organizations making measurable impact and strengthening communities across the country.

Out of more than 3,500 applicants, THF was chosen as one of only 56 award recipients nationwide, making this recognition a powerful affirmation of the mission we carry forward every day: to walk alongside our Nation’s greatest warriors and their families as they navigate the transition from military to civilian life.

This grant support will help advance THF’s work as a leading military transition assistance program, ensuring that more veterans have access to the guidance, resources, and professional development they need to thrive after service.

Honoring Service Through Purposeful Support

Transition is one of the most important, and often most challenging, chapters in a service member’s life.

For many veterans, leaving the military can mean stepping away from a tightly bonded community, a mission-driven identity, and a clear sense of purpose. While the civilian world offers new opportunity, it can also bring uncertainty and unfamiliar terrain. 

At The Honor Foundation, we have transformed the transition process into something deliberate, thoughtful, and distinctly calibrated to the veterans we serve. Our veteran support systems equip participants with the tools, skills, and connections they need to find not only their next mission in life, but the one that is best suited for them. 

What the Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® Represent

Established in 2015, the Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® were created to carry forward the legacy of Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy, whose values of generosity and service continue to shape the company’s community impact today.

The True Inspiration Awards® program is Chick-fil-A’s signature philanthropic initiative, designed to support nonprofit organizations that align with the brand’s Global Impact priorities, including:

• Caring for people
• Caring for others through food
• Caring for our communities
• Caring for our planet

These awards elevate organizations that are not only doing meaningful work, but who are also demonstrating measurable outcomes and long-term community impact.

How This Grant Will Support The Honor Foundation’s Mission

The funding awarded through the 2026 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® will directly strengthen THF’s efforts to serve Special Operations Forces veterans, their families, and the broader veteran community. 

This grant will help THF continue to deliver high-touch military transition assistance programs designed to meet the unique needs of our Nation’s most elite warriors.

Each year, highly trained and experienced leaders leave military service with the potential to become executives, innovators, entrepreneurs, and civic changemakers. But without the right support, that potential can go underutilized.
