Stephanie Larkin, Director of People- Eglin
Name: Stephanie Larkin
Where were you born and raised?
Leesburg, Ga
What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
Like many military spouses, I’ve moved a lot and faced many transitions but the one that stands out the most was when our twins were born. Overnight, we went from one child to three under three. It was overwhelming at times, but it taught me so much about standing firm in faith, finding strength in community, and giving myself grace. That season was both hard and beautiful—it stretched me in ways I didn’t expect, but it also brought incredible friendships and helped me to grow into the person I was called to be.
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
Calm down, girl!! Trust God’s timing and trust the process! The right people and opportunities will show up exactly when you need them.
Your Personal Why?
My why is rooted in faith. I believe we’re called to love and serve others, helping them to be their best selves so they can be a blessing to those around them. It’s a ripple effect—when people are supported, encouraged, and empowered, it transforms not only their own lives but also the lives they touch.
How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
The Honor Foundation gives me the opportunity to live out my why every day. The role of Director of People is one of faith in action—showing up for people, creating connections, and building bridges. Serving this community in such a powerful way means their impact is multiplied—blessing families, shaping futures, and strengthening communities.
Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
My husband is a retired Special Tactics Officer and combat controller. I’ve had a front row seat to the bravery, humility, sacrifice and sense of duty that is at the core of the SOF community. My children had the gift of growing up around some true heroes—quiet professionals who love this country and their families deeply. They are some of the finest humans I’ve ever met, and their example inspires me every day to be better, do better, and never quit.
Favorite THF Value, and why?
Be Bold is the value that resonates most with me. Some of the best things in my life have happened because I took a risk and stepped out in faith. Being bold to me means trusting God’s plan, going all in, and encouraging others to do the same.
