Dustin Leveille, THF Impact
Name: Dustin Leveille
Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Lincoln, Maine and raised in Topsham, Maine – 30 minutes north of Portland.
What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
I’ve spent several years stationed overseas and have traveled to nearly twenty countries. Every time I experience a new culture it is a transition to identify cultural norms, navigate the transportation and financial systems, and to integrate myself in a respectful manner. I make genuine attempts to lean into those experiences and to grow as an individual.
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
Be unapologetically yourself. We all have individual mannerisms, behaviors, hobbies, etc. and you should lean into those because they are often the strengths that make you special.
Your Personal Why?
I give story to data to strategically pursue the seemingly inaccessible
How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
Data loses context without story. The more than 4,000 alumni members is more than a datapoint for us, it is a summation of unique circumstances of pursuing the seemingly inaccessible in our alumni’s individual lives. I look forward to telling those stories and to connecting resources and opportunities to unlock the potential within our fellows.
Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
I served in the Marine Corps’ financial management community with more than a third of my career spent overseas. It was a pleasure to serve my final tour in direct support of the incredible people who make up the Special Operations Community.
Favorite THF Value, and why?
Bold Behavior. Transformation requires bold thought and bold action, and I believe there is a little bit of boldness in each of our THF values.
