04 DOSIER:

Casey O’Toole, Director of People- THF Drew Dix Campus | Colorado Springs

Name:  Casey O’Toole

Where were you born and raised?
Eden Prairie, MN

What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
I spent my entire adult life in the Army as an Infantryman and Green Beret, doing the only job I ever imagined having. When I completed my last operational assignment, I experienced a brief identity crisis (panic) as I became what I had always feared—an administrative support guy—running 10th SFG’s transition program. Once that panic subsided, I found renewed purpose in supporting fellow Soldiers through their transitions, redefined myself as a husband and father, and caught my first glimpse of what the next chapter of my life could be.

What’s the one piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
Be present in the moment. Both personally and professionally you’ll perform better and draw more from each experience.

Your Personal Why?
Be value added by enriching those around me.

How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
Representing the SOF population during transition allows me to hopefully ease stress and provide clarity to the individuals as they begin their next chapters while also providing our communities with some of the most talented people our nation has to offer.

Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
I’ve had the privilege of spending the majority of my 21 years in the Army as a Green Beret, seeing first hand the awesome capability and potential of our people.

Favorite THF Value, and why?
Practice Artistry. We have a limited amount of time in life, whatever we decide to spend that time doing we should strive to do it as well as possible. Whether that’s being a spouse, parent, friend, or working we should strive to be the best version we can.

Area/Industry of expertise:
