Jack Farnan

Jack is currently Vice President of Human Resources at HM Electronics (HME), a diverse group of companies that designs, manufactures, sells and services specialized communications, audio and software solutions for a variety of niche markets in over 140 countries around the world. Prior to joining HME, he was Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Mitchell International, a leading provider of information, workflow and performance management solutions to the Property & Casualty Claims and Collision Repair industries. Before that he was VP of Human Resources at ComStream Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of satellite-based telecommunications systems for the international marketplace and VP of Human Resources at ORINCON, a research and development company specializing in digital signal processing, artificial intelligence and neural networks.

Jack has been actively involved in the San Diego business community fostering the development of business leaders in San Diego while on multiple boards at UCSD’s Rady School of Management, American Electronics Association, UCSD Connect and National Management Association. In 2009 he received the “Human Resources Lifetime Achievement Award”. He earned his Bachelors degree in English from the University of Dayton and his Masters degree from Wright State University. He is the co-author of a hiking and cycling book titled “Outdoors San Diego”, and is an accomplished mountaineer, scaling high-altitude mountains in Nepal, China, India, Bolivia, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru and Kyrgyzstan.
