The Honor Foundation (THF) is a career transition program for U.S. Special Operations Forces that effectively translates their elite military service to the private sector and helps create the next generation of corporate and community leaders. We provide a clear process for professional development and a diverse ecosystem of world class support and technology. Every step is dedicated to preparing these outstanding men and women to continue to realize their maximum potential during and after their service career.

On September 19, nearly 150 swimmers took on The Honor Foundation’s 6th Annual Swim for SOF—an incredible display of grit, determination and camaraderie in support of our Special Operations Forces community.

THF Alumni, sponsors and mission supporters pushed through 3.3 miles of open water from Coronado to the USS Midway, completing two tribute workouts along the way. It was a challenge worthy of the people and purpose behind it—and a powerful reminder of what this community can accomplish together.

An event of this scale takes countless hours, hundreds of helping hands and an extraordinary community behind the scenes.

Twenty-five years ago, our nation changed forever.

We remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the families who carry that loss, the first responders who ran toward danger, and all those whose lives were forever changed by that day.

We also remember what came next.

For an entire generation of Americans, 9/11 became a call to serve. Many of the Special Operators and veterans in The Honor Foundation community raised their hands because of what they witnessed that day. Others spent their careers carrying forward the mission that followed.

Twenty-five years later, that generation is entering a new chapter of service and leadership, and we are standing shoulder to shoulder with them.

Today, we remember those we lost. We honor those who answered the call. And we remain grateful to those who continue to serve our country in new ways.

We will never forget.
