What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
After years as a full-time stay-at-home mom, I made the leap back into the professional workforce. It was a profound shift for me. Rebuilding confidence, learning new systems on the fly, and proving to myself that I could thrive in a fast-paced, high responsibility environment while still being there for my family. That transition taught me resilience and the power of taking the first step, even when it feels uncertain.
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
Everything happens for a reason, and “what’s the worst they could say?” Life’s biggest opportunities often sit just on the other side of a simple question or a little courage. Don’t be afraid to raise your hand, ask for the role, or walk through the door—even if it feels intimidating.
Your Personal Why?
I have always been drawn to positions that put me in a position to serve others. Whether it’s supporting families through challenges, ensuring data is accurate and secure, or helping someone feel heard, I believe that strong, compassionate service creates the foundation for real impact. Service and community are personal to me, and I’m energized by removing obstacles so people can focus on what matters most—growth, learning, and moving forward.
How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
My “why” is deeply personal because The Honor Foundation has changed our family’s story. My husband attended THF during his retirement from the Army, and I watched the incredible time and effort the team invested in him. The transformation he experienced going from Special Operations to a meaningful civilian career—showed me the power of this ecosystem. Now I’m honored to give back in the same way THF gave to us: by serving the next generation of transitioning warriors with the same dedication, care, and excellence.
Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
My husband served as a Special Operations Communicator, and I grew up in Fayetteville/Fort Bragg surrounded by the military community. I also have multiple family members who have served across various branches. I have immense respect for Special Operators—their discipline, quiet professionalism, relentless drive, and willingness to sacrifice for something greater than themselves. They embody service in its purest form, and I’m proud to support them as they write the next chapter of their lives.
Favorite THF Value, and why?
Exemplify Trust – Trust is the foundation of everything. When people know they can count on you to be honest, accurate, and fully committed, real progress happens. THF’s emphasis on exemplifying trust resonates with me because it’s exactly what our transitioning warriors and their families deserve: a reliable partner who has their back as they navigate one of life’s biggest transitions.
Area/Industry of expertise:
For the past four years I have been the “all-around go-to person”. I have a proven knack for wearing many hats—data management, financial reconciliation, customer service, staff training, and coordinating through chaos—while building strong relationships with those around me. I thrive on turning complex processes into smooth, efficient systems that let everyone else focus on their mission. My operational, organizational, and people-first skills make me especially effective at coordinating impactful programs, creating structure amid transition, and delivering the same level of reliable support to Special Operators and their families as they move into their next chapter.
