Name: Michael Hall
Where were you born and raised?
Born in Dayton, OH; Raised in Lawrenceville, GA
What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
It’s a funny story. When I made my transition from the US Navy fleet to special operations I was stationed on the USS Nimitz. I was catapulted off the USS Nimitz during a WESPAC deployment to be flown to Coronado, CA to start BUD/S. However, I had just fallen asleep when the catapult hit and I woke up clutching the arm of a crusty, older, now – unhappy Master Chief. I was so embarrassed and couldn’t help but to laugh. This became symbolic of how I have needed to be ready for surprises, adaptable, and reliant on those around me.
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
Maintain the relationships that mean the most to you. Sustaining deep and meaningful long-term quality of life is made possible by the people that add value to your life.
Your Personal Why?
My Why is to be the fabric of high performing teams so that the team can achieve goals greater than the sum of its parts.
How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
As someone called to be the fabric of high-performing teams, I see THF’s ecosystem – its’ global network of warriors, leaders, and mission-aligned partners – as the arena where this Why takes form. Here, I am not only able to drive teams, and individuals, toward transformational goals but also to be sharpened by others who carry the same relentless pursuit of excellence.
Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
I retired from the US Navy in June of 2025 after 20 years of service. I spent three years in the fleet and seventeen years as a Navy SEAL.
Favorite THF Value, and why?
“Be You” God created you to anchor your identity in who He says you are. Be faithful right where you are.
