Stephanie Haines, Program Coordinator- Virginia Beach
Name: Stephanie Haines
Where were you born and raised?
Born in northern California, raised in central Florida.
What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
At the age of 12, I left everything and everyone I had ever known, the comfort of my small hometown and my extended family, and moved across the country from California to Florida. At the time, it was truly difficult. But looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s made me who I am.
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
You don’t have to be in control of everything. Things usually turn out better than you expected anyway.
Your Personal Why?
My two sons. Becoming a parent changed everything for me. Our children are our greatest legacy and my husband and I strive to teach our boys that there is no greater calling than a lifetime of service, whatever that may look like.
How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
I love that I have the opportunity to serve those who have served our country, helping them discover their own “why.”
Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
My husband is an active duty Naval Aviator.
Favorite THF Value, and why?
Fierce Empathy. The world would be a much better place if we all sought to better understand each other.
Area/Industry of expertise: Program Management | Customer Experience | Relationship Building
