04 DOSIER:

Renee Booth, Director of Impact, East

Name: Renee L. Booth

Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Ontario, Canada, but have been a resident of South Florida for more than 40 years.

What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
Transitioning from being a single parent and juggling my priorities as a working mom, to being an “empty-nester” as my son left for college and a career of his own, was emotionally taxing for me—but the success he has found, both professionally and personally, has made me very proud.

What’s the once piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
Trust your intuition, maintain valued relationships, and don’t worry about what others think about you.

Your Personal Why?
I have spent much of my career working to provide resources for charitable causes that I value and hold near to my heart, but I understand the importance of giving back to those who have afforded me the opportunity to thrive in a safe and supported environment.

How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
The Honor Foundation mission, impact, and culture, are world-class, and satisfies the desire I have to impact those who have so selflessly served. It is a privilege to be a part of such a valued team.

Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
I do not currently have a loved one serving in the military, but respect Special Operators for their commitment and fortitude, and for serving with humanity and humility.

Favorite THF Value, and why?
“Exemplify Trust” is my favorite THF Value. On trust you can build mountains.

Area/Industry of expertise:
As a CFRE, professional fundraiser, I have an appetite for continuous learning and applying best practices to all facets of my work, especially where it pertains to securing necessary financial resources, building valuable relationships, and maintaining professional ethics, accountability, and professionalism.
