04 DOSIER:

Jessica Mazza, Program Coordinator- San Diego

Name: Jessica Mazza

Where were you born and raised?
Santa Clarita, CA but I have been living in San Diego since 2008.

What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
After close to 10 years in the corporate world, my transition to The Honor Foundation is a significant one for me. The pieces began to fall into place after months of working with a career coach, defining my own Why, and seeking opportunities in alignment with my values.

What’s the once piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
Take the time and cultivate the awareness to dig deep and learn more about what makes you authentically you, as well as what serves you, and what doesn’t.

Your Personal Why?
Currently: To be a source of guidance and support, so that others feel seen, heard, and validated.

How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
Being able to be part of someone else’s journey – helping them gain clarity, optimism, belonging, direction – is something I find extremely fulfilling. I can resonate with that feeling of “not knowing what to do next” which is a driving factor for my desire to be part of THF.

Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
My husband is an active duty Navy SEAL.

Favorite THF Value, and why?
Be You. I don’t believe we can reach true fulfillment and wellbeing otherwise.

Area/Industry of expertise:
As the San Diego Program Coordinator, I help facilitate and execute a top-notch experience for our fellows, their families, and faculty.
